Video: The Hebron massacre, the first documented massacre in the Holyland in the modern era
On the 18th day of the month of Av - a day that recurs on the Jewish calendar in about three weeks - 5689 (81 years ago), 67 Jewish men, women and children were murdered in the city of Hebron. As a result, the remaining Jewish community was evacuated from Hebron, and no Jews returned to live in or near Hebron until Passover of 1968.This is the story of that massacre.
