Guess who's not coming to town
Prime Minister Netanyahu made a big deal this week about inviting President Obama to visit Israel. And the White House response?Netanyahu extended an invitation to Obama to visit Israel, but Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said Wednesday that such a visit was not planned for 2010.And that has a lot more to do with why Israelis don't trust him than his middle name.
"It’s not on the books at this point," he said. "I don't know if it changes or not."
A number of Jewish groups, on the left and right, have urged Obama to visit Israel in order to overcome tensions with the Netanyahu government.
Of course, the fact that he's not coming here means that we save a lot of time and money on going to demonstrations.
