After the Saturday people, they'll come for the Sunday people

There's a popular meme among Israel's opponents in the US that says that if only the United States did not support Israel, it would not need to worry about Islamic terror. The Investigative Project on Terrorism blows that meme out of the water.
While Israeli action, or the country's mere existence, may indeed serve as a source of motivation for some terrorists, it is not the primary cause. For proof, look no further than a 1998 fatwa issued by the World Islamic Front, widely considered to be synonymous with Al Qaeda, calling on Muslims "to kill Americans and their allies-civilians and military." The primary justifications for the edict?
  • "First, for over seven years the United States has been occupying the lands of Islam in the holiest of places, the Arabian Peninsula, plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, humiliating its people, terrorizing its neighbors, and turning its bases in the Peninsula into a spearhead through which to fight the neighboring Muslim peoples.
  • Second, despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, which has exceeded 1 million…despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation. So here they come to annihilate what is left of this people and to humiliate their Muslim neighbors.
  • Third, if the Americans' aim behind these wars are religious and economic, the aim is also to serve the Jews' petty state and divert attention from its occupation of Jerusalem and murder of Muslims there. The best proof of this is their eagerness to destroy Iraq, the strongest neighboring Arab state, and their endeavor to fragment all the states of the region such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan into paper statelets and through their disunion and weakness to guarantee Israel's survival and the continuation of the brutal crusade occupation of the Peninsula."
A plain-text reading of the fatwa suggests that America's support for Israel constitutes one half of one of the three main justifications of terrorism. The fatwa places far more emphasis on justifying terrorism against Americans who are "the crusaders" and are "occupying" and "plundering" Muslim lands such as Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

Even when Osama bin Laden talks about Palestine, analysts believe it is at least partially a cynical play at popular support. He started speaking more exclusively about Palestine in 2008, prompting Nigel Inkster, Director of Transnational Threats and Political Risk at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, to note the shift came as Al Qaeda in Iraq was defeated.

In addition, many Muslims turned against it after Al Qaeda attacks killed so many fellow Muslims.

"Al Qaeda could now be preparing its followers for a strategic failure in Iraq," Inkster told the BBC. "It therefore needs a rallying cry and Palestine is a no-brainer."

A Slate magazine article reached a similar conclusion four years earlier:

"Bin Laden continues to emphasize the plight of the Palestinians, as he has since the second intifada broke out in 2000, because he knows that is a bigger winner for him with ordinary Muslims than the corruption of the Saudi monarchy, his old hobbyhorse."
I would add another proof that Islamic terror would continue even if - God forbid - Israel were to cease to exist: Europe. Europe has for the most part not supported Israel for thirty years. Would anyone seriously argue that Islamic terror is not a threat to Europe?

Read the whole thing.

Yes, Europe. And India too. And Thailand. And Africa, as recently demonstrated.

Wherever, in short, you find a substantial Muslim minority, or in proximity to a jihadist base (better known as: Muslim-majority state).

What to do? The non-Jewish nations will have to devise a plan each on their own, but as for us, we have one already, given from above:

Mas'ei.

The most effective plan, and the most moral one too. Prevents genocide of both sides of the conflict. Definitely conceived by the greatest mind.

Europe is an open door compared to Israel. just observe the armed forces of say, Germany: the troops are overweight, they do no real fighting in Afnamistan, they have some good subs that the Israelis buy and some guns.
the French -Foreign Legion only!

The English, yes but they are getting massacred in Afnam. So basically, Europe is a walk in the park as they have let the fifth column of islamonazis in, they are in the governments, everywhere.

Currently in the UK, they are busy building enormous barracks/mosques all over the place. Forget Europe. And I live there.

And how has the U.S really supported Israel in the past 30 years? Syria stronger. Iran Stronger. Saudi Arabia still occupying the oval office. A holocaust denier changed into a man of peace. Shall I can continue? Israel the only country on the planet without an American Embassy in their capital city. ...and if this is all so untrue, why when our supposed friend was in office our supposed friends who supported him abandon us by not holding his feet to the fire? Sadly, political ideology keeps one from moving from point a to b but never mind.

Of course there is proof the RoP is simply using the Palestinian cause to further their cause. What you don't see however is how the world has embraced that libel as well.
Why, because as long as there are Jews to blame, Jews will be blamed. Period. However, that is only the start of this story.

To substantiate how the rest many of whom knew better used the analogy of Bin Laden why did Bush say there will be no peace in the ME until Palestinian Statehood? Why when Bush spoke in Egypt more or less tying the intifada to occupation and poverty, our people kept silent. And if Bin Laden used the plight of the Palestinians since the second intifada and it was so wrong, you tell me why following the second intifada the push for Palestinian statehood was so great? Tell me. If Bin Laden was so full of crap why then was Israel told repeatedly that a Palestinian state must be contiguous, viable and not resemble swiss cheese? Is this the thank you Israel got for the slaughter of the second intifada?

Do you see the irony of gross appeasement that when POST 9-11 war on terror it was important to show the Bin Laden crowd that training the Palestinian security force who once killed Jewish babies was just fine. All the while for all that training what they gave back was to march in time to the nazi goosestep. But hey, that proved their leader truly was a denier of the Holocaust no matter how many times our post 9-11 president called him a man of peace. And you tell me if naming the quartet for peace did not play into Europe's hands not to mention OBL?

Throw your political ideology out the window and it becomes so clear how appeasement is not just a disease of the left....and how when the left is in power the right uses it for their political advantage.

We are doomed because of that very political ideology.

Islamic terrorism was not created by Israel's birth and would still continue to be a problem had Israel never existed. The Islamic terror attacks in Uganda are proof positive Islamic violence has nothing to do with Israel. Same in Iraq and it is also true in Chechenya. Ditto for Mumbai, India and Kashmir in India. Israel does not figure in any of these cases. This is an Islamic war against the West, not in particular one against the Jews.
