New Israel Fund to take rabbis to restaurant that mixes milk and meat during the nine days to meet a one-stater
You can't get much more non-Kosher than the New Israel Fund.And it's the Nine Days, a time when religious Jews (Burg used to be one and went to one of Jerusalem's best known yeshiva high schools) don't eat meat at all."special 1-day Study Tour on Sunday, July 18, for rabbis and rabbinical students spending time in Israel. This is a unique opportunity to connect rabbis with NIF so that they can help educate their congregations and communities about the challenges of promoting social justice in Israel. The program will explore issues including Jewish-Arab equality, religious pluralism, and the threats facing Israeli democracy today. The day will include breakfast with Avrum Burg."Burg is a former Knesset speaker who now lives in Paris. In an infamous interview with Ha’aretz’s Avi Shavit last year, Burg admitted that he is no longer a Zionist and claims that Israeli “fascism” is pervasive and comparable to Germany prior to World War II. He has taken French citizenship (he brags about voting against Nicholas Sarkozy: “Sarkozy is in my eyes a threat to world peace. That is why I went to vote against him”), seeks to amend Israel's Law of Return, and encourages all Israelis to obtain foreign passports.
Neither does the email tell the "Rabbis" that they will be taken by NIF to a non-kosher restaurant in Jaffa which is open on Shabbat and mixes milk and meat on the menu.

On the other hand, can you think of a better night for people to plan the destruction of the State of Israel than the night before Tisha b'Av?

I think its very appropriate. These people are letting us know exactly who they are. Carl, you're letting it be known and I have no complaints or criticism whatsoever. Even more so as it takes place on the eve of Tisha B'Av. And what kind of rabbis would eat treif? None from Carl's neck of the woods, that's for sure. Now we know more than we wanted to know about the NIF - and radical anti-Semite - I wouldn't dignify him with the term anti-Zionist - Avrum Burg.

its a treif restaurant...what does it matter if they mix milk and meat?
all the nif is doing is to again show how jew haters go out of their way to spit on halacha
