The Likud on a 'two-state solution'
Here are some quotes on the 'two-state solution' that were to be read at what turned out to be a sparsely attended Likud Central Committee meeting on Thursday night.Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu himself is quoted as saying, “Judea and Samaria will not be Judenrein. I will not evacuate communities, and I will not establish a Palestinian state… The supreme test of every public figure is whether he keeps his promises to the public, and this test my colleagues and I have passed.”Well, maybe.
# Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon: “I do not believe in the solution of two states for two peoples.”And you thought it was just Obama who abandoned his promises.
# Minister Benny Begin: “No to a Palestinian state, no to a foreign entity in Judea and Samaria.”
# Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz: “A Palestinian state will lead to the end of Israel.”
# Education Minister Gideon Saar: “Any blow to the settlement enterprise in Judea and Samaria will be a blow to the security of Tel Aviv and Netanya. Preserving the Land of Israel is our guarantee for security. We will not agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state.”
# Coalition whip MK Ze’ev Elkin: “I will fully oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria.”
I can't help but wonder why the lead party in Israel's ruling coalition thinks it's such a terrible thing to admit to being opposed to giving half our country to an Islamist terror organization. Try asking Bibi that one at his next press conference.

The Likud should be honest and publicly declare a two state solution is not in Israel's interests. Israel will get condemned for it. But in life you have to take a stand on principle. This one is it. Unless the Likud is going to uproot 500,000 Jews from their homes, its a non-starter - and every one knows it.
What they say and how they vote are according to different agendas. They say what the majority right in Israel wants to hear, that gives them a better slot in the Likud - even makes the PMs, like Sharon and Netanyahu. When they vote, is to execute a leftist policy and what the USA wants.
Really?! No to a two state solution? When will you people quit giving the rest of the world headaches? I just want to know what a "democratic" society will do when muslims outnumber jews in Israel in a few years. Me thinks deportation, repression, and disenfranchisement. Once that happens the world will throw up its hands and say, "We give up".
