Whom do they represent?
Shavua tov, a good week to everyone.An undetermined number of Leftists will gather in Jerusalem's Zion Square on Saturday night, under the theme 'Zionists don't settle.' Whom do these people represent? According to one researcher, the answer is 'no one.'
Cultural researcher Dror Idar said Friday that leftists who plan to fill Jerusalem's Zion Square Saturday night will discover that they represent nobody.Heh.
Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, Dr. Idar rejected their campaign slogan of "Zionists Don't Settle," explaining that nationalism has been scorned by the intellectual left since World War II and that the leftists have discovered that they have failed because of that scorn. He added that while the slogan says what Zionists aren't supposed to do, it doesn't say what they are supposed to do.

The logical conclusion of Mesozionism (the renewed, European-inspired Zionism of Herzl). By making the normalization of the Jewish nation (read: "To become a nation like all other nations") one of their guiding principles, the Mesozionists sealed the fate of their movement a century afterward: Now that nationalism is scorned by the Left (which is not the same Left of 100, 50 or even 25 years ago, but a Left taken over by its Marxist wing, hostile to nationalism, including Zionism, from its very inception), Jews have to choose between nationalism and acceptance. Those mentioned are those who've chosen acceptance - the post-Zionists. But there are many Jews who prefer to forgo fashionability and embrace Jewish nationalism, giving birth to a resurgence of Zionism which we might call Neozionism.
