Hmmm....
Kuwait's al-Rai newspaper is reporting that it was the United States (and specifically the Obama administration) that leaked the story about Syria delivering scud missiles to Hezbullah. The Kuwaiti Al-Rai news has reported that officials in the US administration were the ones who leaked suspicions that Hezbollah had acquired Scud missiles from Syria, in order to "lay the groundwork for a proposal to the UN Security Council, to put together a resolution on the deployment of UN forces along the Syrian-Lebanese border".Hmmm.
The paper quoted Western diplomatic sources as saying that the aim of the deployment would be to stopper a supply route to Hezbollah, which allows it to hoard missiles in Lebanon.
Maybe someone can ask Mr. Crowley about that at the State Department on Monday.

Will they? And Mr. Crowley should be asked how it fits in with the US government's "engagement" with Syria.
If they were trying to send a message to Damascus, its not clear if it registered with the Syrian regime.
