Sweeter: Shahar Pe'er reaches Dubai semifinals
Sweet - er. Israeli tennis player Shahar Peer reached the semifinals of the Dubai Open after her Chinese rival Li Na quit in the middle of the second set. Peer was leading 7:5, 3:0.Recall that last year, they wouldn't grant her a visa to play.
Think Hitler and Jesse Owens. Okay - this isn't being played in Iran, and Pe'er is an Israeli and not a black American, but it's about as close as you're going to get. Well, maybe.
