Jewish groups praise Rush Limbaugh
Shavua tov, a good week to everyone. Hope you had a meaningful Tu BiShvat.Jewish groups have rushed to defend conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh, who was attacked last week by ADL director Abe Foxman for wondering whether Jewish bankers were having remorse over having voted for Barack Hussein Obama.
"There has been controversy recently over statements made by radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh about Jewish voting patterns, political ties and the recent Massachusetts election. We are deeply dismayed by the unfounded criticism of the talk show commentator's observations," read a statement issued Wednesday by several Jewish organizations, including American Friends of Likud, the news monitoring group CAMERA, Emunah of America, the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, National Council of Young Israel, Religious Zionists of America and Z-Street.Indeed. Unfortunately, there are no non-Right wing Jewish groups on the list. I don't expect J Street to support Rush Limbaugh, but it would be nice if AIPAC and some of the non-Orthodox groups did. For that matter, where is the OU on this?
"While one may agree or disagree with Mr. Limbaugh's views on many subjects, his outspoken support for Israel has been eloquent, informed and undeniable. Moreover, in commentary on the Jewish people, he has been nothing short of a philo-Semite. We are grateful for his strong and singular voice on these issues," concluded the statement.

Limbuagh fails to speak of Methodist or Catholic bankers who voted for Obama.
I agree, Limbaugh was out of line. The very bankers who denied my grandfather a loan because his nose was too hooked were freaking Christian fat cats Antisemites! Leftist websites of full of blaming everything on Jewish Bankers who control the banking system. I don't at all need to hear or read the word, "Jewish Bankers spoken by fat big mouth non-Jews, democrat or republican."
Speaking of Limbaugh standing for Israel. Limbaugh never took George Bush to task for promising on his first week of office to sign the embassy act which he repeatedly axed. Nor did he take him to task when Bush continued to sign the wavier for the PLO office to stay open right here on U.S office.
When Bush brought Abbas to the White House and and called Abbas a man of peace not a Republican opened their mouths. Nor did Limbaugh say a word when at the height of the intifada of slaughter Bush formulated the U.S backed quartet for peace. (made up of arch enemies of Jews, UN, EU and Russia)
When Bush and Condi continually spoke of a contiguous Palestinian state, Limbaugh sat silent.
Problem is we are too politically partisan and so deprived of friends who speak for us we fail to see the wolves in sheep's clothing.
I can't tell you how many times Limbaugh professed Bush as the best friend of Israel.
We better open our eyes wide for even those who appear as "friends" often use us for nothing more then political point scoring. When push comes to shove they all leave us in the dust.
I've read Rush Limbaugh's comments over the years on his website and nothing has ever indicated he hates Jews and Israel. If anything his record is quite the opposite. Abe Foxman took a comment about liberal Jewish support for Obama out of context. One wonders why the ADL doesn't train its fire on the pro-Iranian and anti-Israel J-Street, which is surely much more deserving of censure.
What could go wrong indeed
nomatter, good points. But anti-Semitism today is mostly widespread on the Left. Especially in its alliance with Islam. If Jews can't or won't see that, history is bound, G-d forbid, to repeat itself. We have to find allies wherever we can take them and we don't have to agree with them all the time.
