Overnight music video

This song is sung by Avraham Fried and Hanan Yuval. Hanan Yuval is an Israeli who originally wrote the song for Yardena Arazi, a popular Israeli singer. In the interview, Fried says that he sees this song as the history of the Jewish people and the sun (the song is called "When the sun passes over me") as representing redemption.

Sorry, no translation.

Let's go to the videotape.

BS"D

I haven't thought about Hanan Yuval for, like, almost 30 years - but this was a treat, indeed.

Chazak, chazak!

(Are you sure you are a Litvak???)

Sarah Leah,

When my wife and I got engaged, my grandmother asked me "what kind of girl is she?" It took me a while to figure out that she meant to ask whether she was a Litvak, a Galitzianer, etc.

As it happens, my wife's father's family is from Chelm. But very little of that has rubbed off on me.

Not to nitpick, but I think it's "Yovel," not "Yuval."
