Barghouti to decide his own fate?

And to the ridiculous....

JPost reports that in the event that Israel insists that Fatah Tanzim head Marwan Barghouti be expelled from the country upon his release, Barghouti will decide whether to be released or to stay in jail and wait for the next 'exchange.'

Also, after a meeting with Gilad Shalit's parents, Interior Minister Eli Yishai complained that there is too much talk about the price of obtaining Shalit's release and that it's doing 'damage.'
After the meeting, Yishai said, "At this point, all discussion on the price and the details of the deal is causing serious of damage.

"There will be a public debate, but it shouldn't be now," he added.
When does Yishai propose to have a 'debate'? After the terrorists have been released? How much time does he propose to devote to that debate? You can bet on this: It will be measured in minutes.

And you wondered where the 'Palestinians' get the idea that they can impose their will on everyone with 'negotiations' that have pre-determined conclusions?

It seems the only people being kept out of the loop are the people of Israel who are not allowed to know what's going on - and who are then presented with a fait accompli in which the government does what it wanted to do all along - public opinion be damned. And in this case, nothing is allowed to interfere with the return home of Shalit - certainly not national security or even Israel's capability to deter terrorism in the future.
