The parts of the freeze that Haaretz doesn't understand

Haaretz takes a backhanded swipe at Defense Minister Ehud Barak for issuing 28 building permits in Judea and Samaria on the same day that he issued an order to freeze construction in those areas.

Of course, one has nothing to do with the other. The building permits are for public buildings and public buildings are not and were not ever intended to be part of the freeze. But in Haaretz's zeal to dry out the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria (after all, it was Haaretz's editor in chief who once asked the US Secretary of State to 'rape' Israel by imposing a 'solution' on it), it places the permits alongside the freeze as if there is a connection between them.

I would be very pleased to see Haaretz fall upon the same financial straits as their idols at the New York Times.

if Haaretz and their ilk would fall like the NYTimes, Arab money would finance them like the NYTimes

Carl - by the way the freeze was intended to help keep Barak and his Labor Party in the government. That was its secondary audience after the US. It was not intended specifically for the Palestinians.
