Overnight music video

Sorry posting has been sparse tonight - we went away for Shabbos. We farmed the kids out (two to each of the two married kids, one to Mrs. Carl's parents and one in yeshiva) and went to an amazing Bar Mitzva. The Bar Mitzva boy is the son of very close friends who live elsewhere in Jerusalem, and the boy has Downs Syndrome. The boy read the entire Haftara (selection from the Prophets - and it was pretty long today) from a parchment (no vowels, no punctuation, no cantillation notes - you have to know all that by heart) PERFECTLY. Then we all went to Kiddush (before 8:00 am - we started at 5:00) where we all got to sing and dance with this amazing boy....

This song got me through a difficult period in life which was right about the same time that the bar mitzva boy was born. It says that we don't cry out for sick people on the Sabbath because healing will come soon. It's sung by Avraham Fried and it's really beautiful.

Let's go to the videotape.
