Mutiny at the Western Wall

Immediately after an IDF swearing-in ceremony at the Western Wall on Thursday night, IDF soldiers being sworn in to the Shimshon Brigade and their parents raised signs vowing not to participate in the evacuation of Homesh.

Homesh is a Jewish town in northern Samaria from which all Jews were expelled by then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2005 to demonstrate that the disengagement expulsion of Jews was not limited to Gaza. Since then, Jews have returned to Homesh time and time again, with the IDF expelling them each time, often on the Jewish Sabbath.

IDF officials warned Friday that the soldiers could face expulsion from Shimshon for their actions. "This was a shameful and anomalous breach of IDF discipline," a spokesman said. "Kfir Regiment Commander Colonel Oren Abman will consider terminating their service in the regiment."

They may expel the organizers if they find out who they are. They won't expel the rest of them. If they do, they won't have an army left. Look how many of those boys are obviously religious and probably opposed to the expulsion.

How about that guy getting his sign ripped away by the police and then pushed off into a corner. I hope he wasn't arrested. (He actually looks familiar, and if he's who I think he is, I was at his son's wedding about a month ago).
