Anger at Abu Mazen over Goldstone delay

Earlier, I reported on how Abu Mazen is attempting to deal with the fallout from the decision to delay referral of the Goldstone Report to the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council until at least March 2010.

This report from al-Jazeera shows the fallout itself. Note how Ismail Haniyeh blames the 'Zionists' toward the end of the video. Is he implying that Abu Mazen is himself a 'Zionist' or a 'collaborator'? If so, that's not good for Abu Mazen's future safety. And don't forget that while Abu Mazen was persuaded by the argument that delaying the referral was the best thing for the 'peace process,' Haniyeh and Hamas don't believe in a 'peace process' as a means of destroying the Jewish state.

Let's go to the videotape.

A Palestinian can only be a Zionist if he doesn't harm the interests of his own people. Abbas is truly caught between a rock and a hard place.
