Brzezinski: Shoot down IAF jets over Iraq

Absolutely. That is the way, more importantly, how the Iranians would view it. They really can’t do much to the Israelis, despite all their bluster. The only thing they can do is unify themselves, especially nationalistically, to rally against us, and the mullahs might even think of it as a blessing.
How aggressive can Obama be in insisting to the Israelis that a military strike might be in America’s worst interest?
We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?

Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse. And you thought Samantha Power was the only one in this administration who was willing to shoot at America's (former) number one ally? Does anyone believe that Obama no longer talks to Zbig? What could go wrong?

did a rouge NSA operation take command of the liberty?
was the nsa transmitting a "electronic war map" to cyprus via the brit who were in fact sending this information on to cairo?
why did Israel no simply sink the ship, rather than try to destroy it's plainly visible antenna array?
i do not think it is out of the window of reasonable discussion to think that America was spying on israel and this could be very harmful to Israel's efforts..
to me I remember that Israel, France and England were all together not to long before that in the 1956 war...
combine that with America's screwing of Israel and not living up to it's treaty obligations by forcing the straits of titran to be open, no wonder there was confusion at that time..

Israel can detonate a Jericho EMP warhead over Iran at a low altitude. No need to risk human lives or the international condemnation that would follow an aerial assault on Iran's nuclear facilities. Knocking out Iran's electrical infrastructure is enough to destroy a functioning nuclear program. In any event, its foolhardy to replicate the Osirak model because the Iranians are fully prepared for that kind of an attack.

Our airspace? Our airspace??!!! I thought that to Lefties like Brzezinksi, Iraq is a sovereign country and we should ne-ver have gone in, in the first place? Silly me.
And what if Israelis give it a go anyway, and send fliers to bomb Iran's nukes?:

G-d help us, all. I just hope this horrible man doesn't have Obama's sizable ear! May cooler heads prevail.

While the EMP device would work, I don't think that they'd want to deal with the consequences - like a similar package being delivered over Israel someday. If the Moslems are still ticked about the Crusades, do you think that they'd forget something like this?
