I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. No. Obama needs to read something more local and elementary. Something he is completely ignorant of.
Have you read the book? If you haven't, read it and then come back and tell me whether you still believe that.
Besides, someone else in the comments there suggested the constitution.
Carl, I have the book at home on my pile. I am overbooked, so to speak.
But I don't expect Obama to read about us specifically any more than he would pick up a book about Peru. I'm trying to be a bit realistic.
America is heading seriously downhill with Obama. When the drek hits the fan - and it will - he will be so tied up back at home that he won't be paying attention to us, which is a good thing.
May G-d bless and keep the czars far away from us. :)
I just posted the following recommendation on Althouse's blog for a self-help book for Obama.
