Video: History of the PLO, Part 2 - The PLO wears out its welcome in Jordan

This is Part 2 of a six-part al-Jazzeera series on the history of the PLO. This segment deals with the events known as Black September (which happened in 1970), which resulted in the PLO's expulsion from Jordan.

For those who missed it, Part 1 of the series is here.

Let's go to the videotape.

Note what they say around the 20-minute mark about how Arafat was involved in forming Black September and how he ran 'everything.'

And note just before the 23-minute mark what they say about the assassination of two American diplomats in Khartoum. I discussed that cable here, here, here and here.

As to Abu Daoud, whom you saw justifying the Munich Olympics massacre toward the end, I don't expect him to die of natural causes. Heh.

People keep thinking the PLO was just wanting to liberate the "occupied territories." The Jordanians stopped thinking of them as "liberators" once they challenged Hashemite rule.

Heh
