Trader Joe's under attack for selling Israeli products
The Trader Joe's supermarket chain may be subject to a Carrefour-style raid next Saturday to protest the sale of Israeli products in the chain's 322 stores. Carrefour is the French supermarket chain that was raided in March by pro-'Palestinian' activists (including Leftist Jews) who filmed themselves ripping Israeli products off the shelves (Hat Tip: Eclectic Infidel via Little Green Footballs). This effort is being launched by South Bay Mobilization, a leftist, activist anti-Israel bunch in San Jose, California. In addition to its letter to Trader Joe's asking them not to sell Israeli products, this bunch is asking its members to actually go into local Trader Joe's stores on June 20, which if you did not know, is "World Refugee Day" and "Day to de-shelve Israeli products". It appears they will do what French activists have been doing, filling their shopping carts with Israeli products (with great fanfare) then leaving them in the aisle. Neat, huh? Basically, they conduct themselves like vandals.Israel advocacy organization Stand With Us has drafted an open letter to Trader Joe's that you can print out and send on your own. It is meant to counter the letters being sent by South Bay Mobilization.
Fousesquawk also has some other suggestions for countering the boycott.
Although Trader Joe's started in southern California, it has stores all over the US, with their largest concentrations in California and on the East Coast. They have two stores (that I know of) in the Boston area, one of which is located in the heart of the Jewish community. While I will not advocate entering the stores on the Sabbath, I don't think there's anything wrong with very Jewish-looking people standing outside the stores urging non-Jewish shoppers to purchase Israeli products at Trader Joe's next Saturday.
And go in and buy something yourself if there's one in your area - I know I will the next time I am there.

I've bought from Trader Joe's. Jews should patronize the company and buy Israeli made products from them.

Saturday, June 20th is National Day to Deshelve Israeli Products
So let's buy all the products before they can be deshelved (and help stimulate the economy)!
For Observant Jews: Buy as many Israel products as possible on Friday before the Sabbath.
According
One of the retailers targeted in this campaign is Trader Joe’s, which carries many Israeli-made products. Trader Joe’s has resisted the call to change its policies, and so the
boycott-divestment- sanctions (BDS) guys have called for a “de-shelving” of Trader Joe’s from Israeli products this Saturday, June 20. This creates an opportunity for friends of Israel to express their support
while also shopping for groceries.
*GO TO YOUR LOCAL TRADER JOES AND BUY ALL THE ISRAELI PRODUCTS AND LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU SUPPORT THEM!
Onward couccous warriors!!!!!
I'll have to remember to buy some Israeli products the next time I'm in Trader Joe's. A boycott may work in France, but not in the U.S.
Even in the belly of the beast, Northern California, the boycott fizzled and sputtered out. Nearly all Trader Joes stores in the Bay area SOLD out of their Israeli products Friday. There was no feta or couscous to be had for love or money anywhere.
A half dozen protesters showed up at the Rockridge TJs and they were quickly ushered out. 2 showed up at the Lakeshore TJ's- they also lost interest in their silly little performance when they realized there were no products left for sale.
Mattisyahu sings "From the forest itself comes the handle for the axe." The BDS jokers did more for Trader Joes and Israel in a few days than we could have dreamed of. I look forward to Trader Joes releasing their sales figures. That should be amusing.
