Saudi King Abdullah ordered Obama to impose 'solution'
The Saudi daily al-Hayat reported on Sunday that Saudi King AbdullahKing Abdullah told Obama during his visit to Riyadh last week that Arab patience was wearing thin and that a solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict would be the "magic key" to all issues in the region, al-Hayat said, quoting what it called informed sources. And they can't teach science in Saudi Arabia or send people to work until the 'Palestinians' have their
"We want from you a serious participation to solve the Palestinian issue and impose the solution if necessary," the Saudi monarch told Obama, according to the paper, which is owned by a nephew of the monarch. It did not elaborate.

"We [Arabs] want to devote our time ... to build a generation capable of confronting the future with science and work," King Abdullah said, according to al-Hayat.
You've got to be kidding.

Carl - I'm dying here laughing - I mean the same Arabs who want Obama to deliver Israel are the same Arabs who won't do anything to advance the peace process. And for the record, none of the problems the Arabs have has anything to do with whether Jews live in Maale Adumim or any other revanant.
Get real!
What else could go wrong indeed
It would be funny, if it weren't so danged serious.
Norman, put yourself in the position of King Abdullah. You're dealing with a newbie leftist American president who actually bowed to you when he first met you, who is so desperate to achieve some new Mideast peace breakthrough that he makes this big deal 'new tone' speech in Cairo. Wouldn't you take advantage? Of course you would.
Obama just displayed weakness and apologized for America. He tried to be even-handed as he conceives it, but of course King Abdullah will only hear what suits him, which is that Obama just validated the Saudi pose of sitting tight and doing nothing, while demanding that Obama meet the high Arab expectations that have just been raised. IOW, Obama must deliver Israel bound, trussed and gagged. Or King Abdullah will have a whole new list of grievances.
It's a win-win situation for King Abdullah.
