Rasmussen: 81% of Americans say 'Palestinians' should recognize Israel as a Jewish state
A Rasmussen survey taken on Sunday and Monday shows that 81% of likely American voters say that the 'Palestinians' should recognize Israel as a Jewish state. But only 27% think they are likely to do so.The flip-side of that question finds 57% saying that Israel should accept the existence of a 'Palestinian' state but only 43% believe we are likely to do so.
The survey did not get into things like whether a 'Palestinian state' ought to be demilitarized.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel that American support for Israel is becoming muddled.

Most Americans and Israelis recognize a two-state solution is not going to happen in the near future. The differences are too wide, the gaps are too deep and the Palestinians are ruled by rejectionism so that no matter what Israel does or doesn't do - they won't propose or accept a deal. Peace is a long ways off.
