Obama's goal is forcing Israel to concede; stopping Iran's nukes is the way to get there

Interesting thought from Jonah Goldberg in the Corner.
Remember, the president wants Israel to cave to all sorts of demands as part of a grand quid-pro-quo whereby the US gets to work on forcing Iran to drop nukes in exchange for huge concessions by Israel. Well, what if getting Iran to drop its nukes is incidental and Israeli concessions fundamental. In other words, the prize of Obama's foreign policy agenda isn't getting Iran to drop its nukes, but to force Israel to do what he thinks it must to make peace with the Palestinians and the Arab world.
I think Goldberg is onto something here.

On the other hand, I think his next paragraph is wrong. Obama does have an anti-Israel bias.

Read the whole thing.

It is so strange to me that people continue to believe that Obama associated himself with, but somehow remained unaffected by the likes of Rev. Wright, Wm Ayers, F.M. Davis and others. I understand the people on the left giving him a pass on this but people like Goldberg and others on the right? This is amazing! Beyond their radical views, a singular purpose that these people shared was expounding on the belief that Jews in general, and Israel in particular are the root of all evil. Obama never deserved a pass on this before. He deserves one less now.

Considering only a handful of Israelis view Obama as pro-Israel, he and his Secretary Of State are finding it very hard to force Israel to concede to them. But they should thought of that before they picked a fight with Israel.

What else could go wrong indeed

I see Egypt will now begin working on a nuclear reactor. I guess Syria will be wanting to restart theirs, too, with Obama's blessing?

I suppose if it were even possible to destroy Israel (and all Jews G-d forid), then the next object of "everything wrong with the world" would be white Europeans.
