Obama to Netanyahu: 'Go find another answer'
President Obama plans to 'order' Prime Minister Netanyahu to come up with an answer other than 'no' to a 'settlement freeze' between now and the beginning of July. United States President Barack Obama intends to give Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu four to six weeks to provide an "updated position" regarding construction in West Bank settlements and the two-state principle.I wonder what he'll do when Netanyahu comes back with the same answer he's given until now (we'll dismantle 'illegal outposts,' but we won't stop building in Jerusalem or the 'settlement blocs' and we will allow 'natural growth' anyplace else). If Netanyahu offers more than that, he risks destroying his coalition.

According to an official Israeli source, Obama wants to complete the formulation of a preliminary six-month plan for progress toward a Middle East peace agreement and to present it in July.
The U.S. special envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, will arrive in Israel next Monday night. He will meet with Netanyahu the day after in a bid to obtain clarifications regarding the U.S. demand to stop construction in the settlements and on the principle of two states for two peoples.
According to the Jerusalem source, Mitchell is expected to seek answers to questions raised during his meeting with the prime minister's adivsers last week in London as well as to issues raised by senior administration officials following their meeting with Barak on Monday.
Mitchell is to visit the Palestinian Authority on Wednesday to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Netanyahu had better just stick to "No". Hussein is not the elected leader of Israel. We don't have to answer to him. Period.

For those who recognized that Obama would not be good for Israel, this chapter early in his administration is a Godsend. It will shortly become painfully obvious to even the most ardent admirers (including some of his Democratic Congressional cohorts) that Obama is looking to stick it to Israel. Obama has (mis)calculated that with his Jewish "beard" Emanuel on staff and the likes of Ackerman and Wexler, J Street, 78% of American Jews, and Kadima supporting his agenda, he would have carte blanche to sell Israel down the river.
You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't coerce a people to commit national suicide.
Bibi, turn it around on him: "Barak: Why don't you find another way to say what you want the Nation of Jews to do?"
It is apparent O wants to take to the Saudi Prince his accomplishment of finally getting an upper hand on the Israelis!
But it won't work!
The US is ordering Israel around? Who died and made Obama Israel's overlord. I'm guessing if the US keeps pushing, Israel can simply not receive George Mitchell. And kick out the US Consul in Jerusalem who works there for the Arabs. Israel doesn't have to sit there and take it and let Obama go find another answer. As he is so fond of saying!

I hate to break it to you guys, and as much as I think the messiah is very naive and stupid when it comes to, well, anything, he is paying the bills for Israel with foerign aid. Look what hes doing to Chrysler and GM.

Grant: I doubt very much that the US is "paying the bills" for Israel; what they are doing is supplying defense weapons, airplanes, and maintenance supplies - which they have already threatened to NOT GIVE ANY MORE.
Personally, I think that would be JUST FINE! We don't need their 'handouts' and 'insults' and 'orders'!
