The difference between Bush and Obama 88-31

American Jews may not believe the truth yet about President Barack Hussein Obama, but according to a Smith poll released in Israel on Monday, Israelis certainly have begun to smell the coffee. Only 31% of Israelis believe that President Obama and his administration are pro-Israel. That contrasts with 88% of Israelis who believe that President Bush and his administration were pro-Israel.
The poll of 500 Israelis, representing a statistical model of the Israeli population, was conducted last week following a string of reports in the Israeli media about condemnations of Israeli policies by US Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and other senior Obama administration officials.

Besides the 31% who labeled Obama pro-Israel, 14% considered him pro-Palestinian and 40% felt he was neutral. The other 15% declined to provide an opinion for the poll, which had a 4.5% margin of error.

Obama's numbers contrast sharply with those of his predecessor, George W. Bush, whose administration, according to the poll, was considered pro-Israel by 88% of the respondents. Seven percent said Bush was neutral and just 2% labeled him pro-Palestinian.
And lest you think that Israelis are being taken in by rhetoric, you should know that the poll shows that the only European country in which more Israelis think the leadership is more pro-Israel than pro-'Palestinian' is Germany.

It ought to be clear to everyone that Israel has a real problem with this administration. I suspect it will be more clear after the meeting that is currently taking place between Obama and Netanyahu about 500 miles south of where I am sitting.

This morning, I spoke with a couple of the residents at my Dad's assisted living facility. One woman who deeply regrets supporting Obama told me that she believes that when the Jews see how hostile Obama is to Israel, they will change their minds. I told her that unfortunately, she appears to be dreaming.

Only a minority of America's Jews are strongly committed to Israel's well being. Most of those voted against Hussein. Only a small percent of his voters will care if they open their eyes.
I wish this weren't the case, but we are not the best generation.

Benjamin Netanyahu can count on little support from deluded American Jews today. But he can count on the support of Israelis in standing his ground with Obama. Its definitely a fateful meeting.

I'm with you on that, Carl. Certain groups are brainwashed into voting Democratic, no matter what. Even with as stark a choice as between Dubya and John Kerry, the overwhelming majority of Jewish Americans duly pulled the lever for the Democrat. John McCain, for all his flaws, would likely have been a decent President. Yet the same brainwashed Democratic voters duly pulled the lever for Barack Obama, arguably the least qualified man to be elected President in American history. And that's not even getting into his background and hard left agenda.
