Purim under Kassam fire

The Jewish holiday of Purim begins on Monday night. Purim will be celebrated on Monday night and Tuesday in most of the world, and on Tuesday night and Wednesday in Jerusalem and in other cities that are (or were) surrounded by walls since the time of Joshua the son of Nun.

One of the customs of the Purim holiday is to dress in costume. Because the children are off from school on Tuesday and Wednesday (and in many cases on Monday as well), and because Monday is a fast day, Sunday was the day for costume parties in nearly every elementary (and even some high) school in Israel.

Israel's Cable Channel 10 was in Sderot talking to kids in costume, including one (who sounds Russian by the accent) who dressed in a Hamas balaclava and brought a fake Kassam. In the interview, the kid says that he is showing that the rockets won't stop the children of Sderot from enjoying Purim.

Let's go to the videotape.
