Would Netanyahu give up US financial assistance?

It would be a good idea. Aren't they no more than shopping coupons, gift certificates to use in American "stores?"

Some of them are, but I think that's mostly the defense spending part.

There are also loan guarantees, which are probably worth having and cost the US nothing.

And while anything that gets the US out of our decision-making process is a good thing, I'd be concerned that if the US wasn't on our side, we'd end up with a Chapter 7 UN resolution within a month or two. Then again, with this administration, we may end up with one of those anyway.
