Video: Rocket attack on southern Israel

Well, here's a rarity. Al-AP actually covers a rocket attack on a Kibbutz in southern Israel earlier Sunday, in which thank God no one was hurt but two cars were totally destroyed, as you will see in the video below. Al-AP apparently made this video before a second rocket - a Grad-type Katyusha rocket - landed just south of Ashkelon later in the day, causing no injuries or property damage.

Let's go to the videotape.

And you wonder why I say that Israel should have destroyed Hamas while it had the opportunity and why I don't believe any 'ceasefire' will ever take hold?

About 7:30 Sunday morning, there was an interview with Binyamin Netanyahu in which the Kassam rocket you just saw was discussed. Netanyahu pointed out - correctly - how this government lets the rockets come as a raindrop, then as drizzle, and then as steady rain before it decides to do something about them. Then he said that when (if?) he is Prime Minister, that won't happen and Israel will not allow even the raindrops.

Big talk - let's see him implement it. Don't hold your breath.

Bibi did promise to remove the Iranian terror base from Gaza. So far its just talk. I'm not holding my breath waiting for Israeli politicians to fulfill that promise to the letter. The only thing that would return quiet to Southern Israel is wiping out Hamas. There is no need for Israel to send its army in to do it. A couple of napalm bombs would do the job. But that requires Israeli leaders willing to stand up to the torrent of world abuse that would be certain to follow such a decision and they are not exactly noted today for their fortitude.
