This is from Israel's Channel 10. Because the IDF is not allowing reporters into the Strip with its troops, you're not likely to get more than this from the Israeli side.
Nothing much there that hasn't been replayed over and over again on Israel TV between last night and this morning.
Does anyone know what munition that is which explodes about 100 meters above ground and then showers down on the area below? I saw this used several times last night and haven't got a clue what it is.
Or on CNN which didn't get live "atrocity propaganda" footage to use against Israel. Sometimes less is really more and one of the lessons Israel learned from the Lebanon War is the enemy should not be allowed to use the media as a propaganda weapon against Israel. Hamas can't get its side of events out. That may be more telling than the pictures we can't see out of Gaza and that in itself is a very potent message.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004. I recall reading today reporters had been allowed in and they had security issues with the Iranian and Lebanese reporters.
Great video report footage though.
