'In this confrontation [with Hamas] we all lose'

In case you had any doubts that Olmert is a complete, total and utter moron....
"I hope the quiet will continue for a long timeā€¦ [but] we live in a severely uncertain region, we have neighbors whose responses can't be anticipated."

He warned that the situation with Hamas continued to be volatile, saying "despite the quiet, it must be taken into account that things can roll differently."

The prime minister added that quiet in the Gaza periphery could not be assured.

He noted that the IDF did not want to use all of its power to show Hamas that "in this confrontation, at the end of the day, we all lose."
He's not capable of fighting to win. And neither are Livni or Barak. Morons.

No Ehud, if we use all of the IDF's power and we dismember Hamas and the remaining population of Gaza either flees or decides to live in peace with us, we WIN.

Moron.

/I cannot begin to tell you all how much it ticks me off to read this.

I agree... the man is an utter fool. Israelis can't wait to see him gone. He will never be Prime Minister again and that's the only good thing to come out of his ill-starred 2 1/2 year tenure at the head of Israel's government.
