Child abuse, Iranian style
In this video, Iranian children commemorate the 'martyrdom' of 13-year old Hossain Fahmideh, who threw himself under a tank and exploded in the Iran-Iraq war, by vowing to undertake 'martyrdom operations' of their own. Of course, the Iranian government encouraged this behavior by holding a 'marathon' in Fahmideh's memory.Let's go to the videotape.

The preoccupation with death is one of the most notable features of current Islamic discourse. How do you negotiate with someone who wants you dead? I'm not sure the Israeli and the American Left understand the mindset of their opponents and the sheer fanaticism that drives it.
Well said Norman. The Iranians have nothing else to look forward to. Their economy and nation is in ruins. They live under repression. And it is only in death that they will find any happiness.
