DNC: 'Eric Cantor is Jewish, oh my!'
Baseball Crank reports that the Democratic National Committee has a website set up to attack potential running mates of Republican nominee John McCain. Each potential running mate gets his own page, and at the bottom of the page we are told that it's "paid for by the Democratic National Committee." On Eric Cantor's page, the word "Jewish" appears five times in 660 words, including these choice words (Hat Tip: Hot Air):"Both [former lobbyist and convicted criminal Jack] Abramoff and Cantor are Jewish"...The Democrats, the multicultural party of peace, love and tolerance. Except for Jews.
At Fundraiser, Jack Abramoff Named Sandwich After Eric Cantor -- Cantor Asked To Switch Sandwiches. "At a January 2003 fundraiser for Cantor, who had just become chief deputy whip, Abramoff unveiled the Eric Cantor sandwich, 'a tuna-based stacker,' which, lamentably, was 'not quite [the] power lunch befitting' the only Jewish Republican in the House. Hence a request by Cantor ... to switch his eponymous sandwich to roast beef on challah, 'a deli special that exudes Jewish power.'"

Yes and they are the "Progressive" party. Let's hear it for progress.
The only thing progressive about the Donkeycrats is their look to new ways to say Jew. I am amazed at the Jewish community in their support of Obama and the Democrats.
I wonder if they will still feel that way if he wins in November and they find themselves inside cattle cars?
I met with Eric last summer for a real serious Yesha type of meeting with four other Congressmen and translated for him at the One Jerusalem rally a few months later. Besides his Southern accent, I see nothing wrong in him being Jewish.
Yisrael,
Obviously there's nothing wrong with Eric being Jewish - I'm thrilled that a fellow Jew might be the Republican party's Vice Presidential nominee.
But the Democratic National Committee's continued references to him as a Jew don't include the same warm feelings that my references to him as a Jew include. They're using Eric's Jewishness to try to associate him with Jack Abramoff and to the American electorate that says "sleaze, Jewish sleaze." The subtext (at least as I read it) is "all Jews are crooks like Abramoff." Imagine if Cantor wore a black hat too?
