Video: The 'Palestinian prison system'
In an earlier post, I noted that US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was attending a conference in Berlin on Monday. The conference - which continued Tuesday - was meant to raise money for the 'Palestinian prison and justice' systems in Judea and Samaria. On Tuesday, the Al-Jazzeera Arab propaganda network did a report on the 'Palestinian prison system.'Let's go to the videotape and then I'll have some comments for you.
Note that when they discuss 'serious crimes' that are going unpunished due to 'overcrowding' in the prison system, they list 'collaboration' (i.e. helping Israel to prevent terror attacks) as equivalent to murder and rape.
They manage to stick a line into the report that blames Israel for destroying the 'prison system' as if there ever was an effective prison system in the first place.
They discuss the revolving door nature of the 'Palestinian prison system' as if that situation is acceptable or understandable, which it isn't.
Finally, at the end of the report, they blame the 'prison system's problems on "years of conflict, neglect and 'occupation.'"
Things will improve for the 'Palestinians' when they start taking responsibility for their own actions. Until that time, the more things change, the more they will stay the same.

The funny thing, Carl - is neither the Palestinians nor Israel's current government wants to grow up. After today's "stinking maneuver", we're cursed to have Ehud Olmert with us til at least the Jewish New Year and perhaps even longer than that. Oy vey!
