Condi isn't pro-Israel. Somehow Hamas sees its the opposite - oh and if Israel is the villain of the neighborhood, you'd think they'd skip that hudna with the reviled Zionist entity. I don't think they'll keep their power dry, if history is any record. If only Condi favored Hamas instead of the PA, maybe Hamas television would be kinder and gentler to her. Heh.
Norman - I don't think that Hamas would be "kinder" to her no matter what. Arabs are notoriously racist and their hatred of blacks is historical. Witness the oppression of Sudanese blacks, even those who are Muslim. Muslim Arabs were the primary vendors of black Africans into slavery among their own peoples and to others for many centuries.
This kind of reaction to Condi ("black scorpion", etc.) is not new. Horridly racist statements about her have been made for years. It also doesn't help that she's a woman - a double cause for denigration.
I think it's ironic that she favors these repulsive people over democratic and multicultural Israelis.
The Arabs are racist towards Jews and then racist towards every one else. This is not a new observation. As a matter of fact, the Rambam said no one oppressed, degraded and debased the Jews as much as the Arabs. Being on top for several centuries, the Arabs still have to get used to the idea the Jews are no longer dhimmis. Old habits die hard in the Middle East.
Jesus Hussein Christ, but I've been trying to tell you folks that the Arabs hate Rice.
She knows this. You hate her because she's trying to convince you that Settlements are bad for the long term future of the State of Israel.
Do you think Rice doesn't have access to what the Hamas people are saying to her and to each other? They do. It's also in the Presidential Daily Brief. They know all about Hamas. They know all about the missiles that are being imported through Egypt.
However, Condi Rice is saddled with the Olmert Government, just as she was in 2006, when some AssClowns blamed her for the galactic incompetence of the Israeli Government and the IDF General Staff.
Things will only get better for Israel and the U.S. when Olmert is sent packing. Until then, the U.S. is fated to deal with a Weak Sister government in Israel that can't negotiate with the Pallies from a position of strength, so can't conclude an agreement.
Of course, things could really get worse. Obama could get elected. Then you people are really f**cked!
