Bush slams 'settlement expansion'

From an interview with al-Reuters by President Bush on his upcoming trip to the Middle East:

Bush also said that Israeli settlement expansion was an impediment to the success of renewed Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

He told Reuters that during his visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories he would talk about Israeli settlement expansion, "about how that is, that can be, you know, an impediment to success."

The US president insisted that the unauthorized outposts must to be dismantled, "like the Israelis said they would do."

With Fatah carrying out terror attacks all Bush can think about is 'settlement expansion.' Sounds like his father and James "F**k the Jews, they don't vote for us anyway" Baker.

Bye bye Mr. Bush. It was nice for a while.

Carl,

In all my years I have never felt as betrayed by a President, never. Carter, Clinton, etc. don't count, obviously, as their actions were expected.

President Bush has put a knife in the back of all Israel, and here, in the States? His legacy, for me, will be how he waited so long to show his true colors, and what the effect is on Israel. I feel that Condi helped pave the way.

And Olmerde will slobber all over him, and promise to give him whatever he demands from Israel, with half of Jerusalem included.

And yet there are Jews who agree with Bush. Go figure.

'Settlement expansion'? Strange way of saying enlarging what is already Israel and it's eternal capital, Jerusalem.

Carl - its the Jews fault! If the Jews would only commit suicide, they would be absolved of all their transgressions! Gosh - where have we heard that before?

Israel is a small country and there's no much left to really give away before its too small to provide a home to every Jew. Something those who want Israel to give up more territory had better ponder about.
