Countdown to Gaza invasion?

The 'Palestinians' fired a barrage of either nine or thirteen Kassam rockets at Sderot this morning. No one was reported hurt although at least four of the rockets landed in populated areas. Islamic Jihad's Al-Quds Brigades and the Popular Resistance Committees' Salah al-Din Brigades claimed responsibility for the rocket fire. In response, Israel destroyed two Kassams in their launchers. Big deal. The IDF also killed four terrorists in Gaza over the past twenty-four hours, and a ground invasion is appearing even more imminent.

For those who missed it last night, the IDF's intelligence branch released a video yesterday of 'Palestinian' terrorists launching mortars from an elementary schoolyard in Beit Hanoun, which is just a kilometer from Sderot.

Meanwhile, 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen's Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, which uses Google Earth to find targets in Israel, and whose salaries are being paid by Abu Mazen using American cash with Israel's approval, threatened to fire 'hundreds' of Kassam rockets at Israel as part of something they are calling "Operation Gaza Autumn."
In a flyer distributed Thursday morning they said they have not tired of the resistance, and will continue with the military operation, Walla reported.

"Autumn 2007 is arriving without a national unity government. We hear talk of summits here and there. We are marking 90 years since the evil Balfour Declaration, continuing IDF operations into Gaza, killing of Palestinians and destruction of houses."

Forty Kassams have been fired at Israel since the beginning of the week.
And for those of you who are wondering when Israel is going to cut the electricity to Gaza, don't hold your breath:
It remains to be seen whether Israel will cut the electricity to parts of Gaza in response to the barrage. Defense Minister Ehud Barak recently approved the measure in response to Kassam attacks, but Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz has held up the process until humanitarian measures to ensure the continuance of necessary systems are worked out.
In case anyone has forgotten, Mazuz was uber-leftist Yossi (Shimon Peres' Poodle) Beilin's candidate for attorney general.

The terrorists will do everything they can to bring about an IDF invasion before the Annapolis conference mugging. And the pathetic Olmert-Barak-Livni government will do all it can to avoid an invasion because Olmert wants to keep himself in the left's good graces so he can avoid prosecution. It's time to give Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi the assurances he seeks and go into Gaza and kick the %$#@ out of the terrorists. Sderot has suffered long enough.

Amen Carl! Amen, Amen, and Amen! I don't know why your government has not responded much earlier, I pray they will go into Gaza and destroy those who have become a thorn in your side, the enemies of Israel.

'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.'
-Numbers 33:55
