US to give $410 million to 'Palestinians'
With the 'Palestinians' threatening not to go to Annapolis unless Israel surrenders in advance, and with the US State Department trying to install Muhammed Dahlan as head of the 'Palestinian Authority' while covering up his crimes, the Bush administration has decided that now is the time to start propping up the unelected 'government' of 'moderate' 'Palestinian' PresidentSources in the US government stress that the aid marks an unprecedented effort aimed at saving the PA led by Abbas. The US is thereby swerving from its traditional handovers and is handing over a sum approaching half a billion dollars.Israel's Finance Minister of the Week, Ronnie Bar-On is currently in Washington, and he thinks everyone should join in the party:
Half of the American aid will be directed at infrastructures, $35 million will be transferred to the Food and Employment Bureau of the United Nations Refugees Works Agency (UNRWA). The remainder of the money will be combined with the PA's continuous budget.
...
This is the largest aid program ever given to the Palestinians by the US. In Washington, sources say the aid underlines the high importance attached by the Bush administration to the need to support Abbas and Fayyad and their efforts to reach tangible goals on the ground for the Palestinian public.
Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On, who is on an official visit in Washington, said during a meeting in the American capital that the international community must aid the Palestinian economic recovery. You can only have an 'economic recovery' if you had an economy and you lost it. The only 'economy' the 'Palestinians' have ever known is hand-outs from Israel and from the 'international community.' I think we should start taking bets on how much of that money will eventually be used for weapons or for 'salaries' to the 'security forces.' I say $450 million. Yes, I know that's more than what they're getting....
As for Bar-On, here's predicting he'll live in France by 2010.
