Anti-American video from Turkey
Until relatively recently, Turkey was an ally of both the United States and Israel. Last week, I reported that the Turkish government was blaming the 'Jewish lobby' for Congress' passing a bill condemning Armenian genocide against the Turks. Now, MEMRI reports on a new video that has been playing multiple times daily on Turkish television. The video is an anti-Bush song clip recorded last year by the popular Turkish singer Baris Akarsu, who died in a traffic accident last year. Here are some of the song's words:“He knows everything… His silence is sinisterMEMRI reports that other clips of the same song are breaking records on YouTube. Here is a video of the song. Like the picture at the top left of this post, some of it is not very subtle.

Seriously tho, the whole debacle with Turkey and wanting to punish them for something they did years ago... I just don't know why our Congress wants to do that.. kooky.

Yes, they are supposed to be. They did not make too big a fuss about the fuel tanks being dumped in their country after the Syrian mission. But they were awfully ticked about that genocide resolution. And the party in power recently is an Islamist party.
I really have not made the effort to learn the ins and outs of the Turkish situation. Barry Rubin keeps sending me articles on it and I just don't have the time. It's all I can do to keep up with Israel (embedding videos from YouTube is one of the fastest ways of posting). You may want to check Barry's stuff at GLORIA or MERIA.
