Olmert springs into action - calls the UN
I was in the shower when the 5:30 news headline came on this morning, and I almost lost it completely when they reported this:Israel will file an official complaint to the UN over continued rocket fire on Sderot, Israel Radio reported Monday. Deputy UN Ambassador Daniel Carmon reportedly discussed the matter with the Secretary-General's Chef de Cabinet, Vijay Nambiar and his Middle East envoy Michael Williams.Forget that the UN hates Israel. Forget that there is no 'state' or 'member state' to bring before the UN. If there's a limit to Israel's restraint, send the IDF into Gaza already instead of using them to expel more Jews from their homes.
Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman said that there was a limit to Israel's restraint, adding that he would speak to the secretary general and demand that the organization intervene and try and put an end to the attacks.
