Maalot massacre planner to visit Ramallah on Wednesday

Israel has agreed to permit Naef Hawatmeh, the planner of the 1974 Maalot massacre in which 22 Israeli schoolchildren were murdered by 'Palestinian' terrorists, as well as Farouk Kaddumi, the PLO Secretary who refused to move to Gaza from Tunis with Yasser Arafat, come to Ramallah for a special session of the PNC on Wednesday. The session is designed to 'isolate' the bad terrorists of Hamas. This report from Arutz Sheva explains the background.

Israel Radio's 2:00 AM news just reported that Hawatmeh and Kaddumi have been given permission to attend the meeting:
According to reports in the Arabic press, Israel has approved the entry into the country of Damascus-based Naif Hawatmeh, head of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist group. Also reportedly approved for entry are other arch-terrorists such as the PLO's Farouk Kadoumi and Ahmed Ghanem.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) is set to convene a special session of the "Palestine National Council," formally, the governing body of the PLO. Abbas is seeking PNC approval for a new PA government based on a mainly Fatah membership. Fatah is the terrorist group headed by Abbas and which forms the backbone of the PLO. Abbas believes that the participation in the PNC meeting of veteran terrorist leaders from Fatah and from other factions will assist him in gaining legitimacy for his new government.

Hawatmeh, who founded the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Marxist DFLP, lives in Syria and was an outspoken critic of the PLO leadership under Yasser Arafat. DFLP terrorists were involved in a series of attacks in the 1970s and 1980s, including dramatic and vicious attacks on schoolchildren in Avivim in 1970 and in Maalot in 1974. In those two attacks alone, a total of 30 children and eight adults were murdered by Hawatmeh's agents.
Several rightwing MK's have called for Hawatmeh's arrest on his arrival in Ramallah. Don't expect the Olmert-Barak-Livni government to do anything of the sort.

But maybe Olmert's kids will move back to Israel Palestine.

With the high liklihood of terrorists being released, perhaps its time to kill them when they are caught.

Daniel,

That would be a wonderful idea, except that you are expecting the same government that is releasing them to suddenly start killing them rather than catching them. I just don't see that happening.

Civilian mobs should kill them first.
