Olmert to release poor shooters

As I noted earlier this week, Prime Minister Ehud K. Olmert is having problems finding 250 'Palestinian' prisoners terrorists who meet the release criteria. So, as I predicted, Olmert is now trying to change the criteria. His latest definition for 'prisoners' who 'don't have blood on their hands' is positively Clintonian. Kind of like smoking marijuana but not inhaling:
The government is willing to release security prisoners who took part in attacks that did not lead to any deaths, such as terrorists who shot at an IDF patrol, but missed. A condition to their release is that they have already served two-thirds of their sentence.
In any event, the terrorist release will not help 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen. But the damage to Israel's ability to negotiate the release of its kidnapped soldiers has already been done.

UPDATE 4:00 PM

The Jerusalem Post is now reporting that the government is also considering releasing 'Palestinian' terrorists with blood on their hands from before the Oslo accords (1993). Samir Kuntar murdered in 1979, but he is Lebanese - not 'Palestinian' - and they wouldn't dare release him, would they?

I personally find it saddening the way israel deals with such terrorists. I dont get it why they just dont bom em all to hell. The intl outrage will last but a few days. Im sure israel can weather it out.
