Abu Mazen appoints Fayyad as 'Prime Minister'

'Moderate' 'Palestinian' President ~~Mahmoud Abbas~~ Abu Mazen has appointed Finance Minister Salam Fayyad to be the new 'Prime Minister' of the 'Palestinian Authority.' I look at this as an appeal to the West to continue to back him, because Fayyad is one of the few non-Fatah-affiliated 'Palestinians' that the West trusts. How long this 'partnership' lasts, what powers (if any) Fayyad will be given and whether anyone from Hamas will support him all remain to be seen.

As I look at this, the 'Palestinian' civil war is far from over.
