Ehud K. Olmert really wants to stay Prime Minister. Last week, surveys in Israel showed that 45% of the voters would have an improved opinion of Olmert if only he would get rid of Now, Olmert is trying to backtrack on the delusion that got him elected, namely that if only we gave the 'Palestinians' every last speck of Judea and Samaria, they would leave us alone to live within our Auschwitz borders. In China yesterday, Olmert noted that Israel's 'unilateral withdrawals' from Lebanon and Gaza had only resulted in rocket fire. But in an interview with the Chinese news agency Xinhua on Friday, several days before leaving for his visit, Olmert said that he believed in setting up a Palestinian state side-by-side with Israel, and that in order to do this, Israel would need to pull out of a significant portion of the territory it currently controls.

It's getting very hard to follow the twisting and turning of Olmert's statements. How soon can we get rid of him?
Seriously, actually: How soon can we get rid of him? What is the machinery in Israel for removing an incompetent PM?
