New construction tenders in Maaleh Adumim anger 'Peace Now'
A new construction tender to build forty-four (count 'em) apartments in Maaleh Adumim has angered the Israel haters atMaaleh Adumim is just east of Jerusalem. While it is over the green line, it is very much a part of the so-called Israeli consensus - one of the areas of Judea (and Samaria) that most Israelis cannot envision giving to the 'Palestinians' under any scenario. While the long-since-dead 'road map' calls for Israel not to expand 'settlements,' except - under one of the reservations former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon inserted when he accepted the so-called plan - for 'natural growth,' it is a bit difficult to undertand how in a city of more 33,259 people, an additional forty-four apartments can be called an 'expansion.' Additionally, Maaleh Adumim is one of the 'settlement blocs' that President Bush envisions Israel keeping in any future 'peace settlement.' But to the zealots at Piece by Piece Now, who are determined to destroy the Jewish state from within and without, that is not enough:
The issuance of a construction tender for building new housing units in Ma'aleh Adumim is a "spit in the face of the Americans," Peace Now said on Monday.Rice and her spokesman have had no comment.
"Either the government is fearless, or they are simply not coordinated," Peace Now spokesman Yariv Oppenheimer told The Jerusalem Post. Pointing to the fact that US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was still in Israel on Monday, Yariv said that "issuing these tenders on such a sensitive day goes against the interests of Israel."
US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack, who was traveling with Rice, said he wasn't aware of the bid. But he added: "Our policy hasn't changed."You can bet that Piece by Piece Now will do a better job of whining and moaning to make sure that the State Department knows all about this bid. There is no Jew like a self-hating Jew.

Carl did all of these peace now people escape from loony bins? Maybe they can changed the name of the organization to "Let them Kill us all now" they are an invitation to disaster
