Al-Jazeera launches English-language version; Israelis will have it next month

Al-Jazeera, the Arab propagandist's answer to Fox News, debuted its English language version around the world today. It had very little coverage in the United States and in Israel.

But there is a big difference between them. In the United States, cable operators fear losing customers if they carry Al-Jazeera as part of their package. Fellow blogger Charles Johnson has called on his more than 130,000 daily readers to boycott any cable company that offers Al-Jazeera as part of its package.
A call to LGF readers: please post the contact information for your local cable company here in our comments. I urge all of you to politely—but firmly—let your cable companies know your feelings about Al Jazeera, before it’s a done deal. I have.
But here in Israel, we are more 'open-minded', and we like to hear our army called murderers. So we have been promised that by the end of December, those of us who have cable (I don't) will be able to watch Jihad Television in our own living rooms. When and if the 'Israeli al-Jazeera' ever gets going, it will be interesting to see whether the Israeli cable companies will offer it.

Update 2:25 AM

Debbie Schlussel encourages readers to join the Al-Jazeera International English language net Audience Panel. "Tell them to do stories on why jihad and Islamofascism suck and how Israel is the greatest, most successful country in the Middle East."

Al-Jazeera in English!? Wow, now I'll be able to get the latest Islamo-propaganda beamed right into my own house, in a language I understand.

There's a channel I'll be blocking.
