Major rocket attack near Kiryat Shmona

The Jerusalem Post is reporting through its Israel Alert Service (no link yet) that there has been a major rocket attack near Kiryat Shmona. Twenty people have been hurt, twelve of them critically.

Rockets have also been fired this morning at Nahariya, Karmiel, the Golan Heights, Ma'alot, Rosh Pina, and Safed.

Update 12:44 PM

The Jerusalem Post's Israel Alert Service is now reporting that nine people were killed and four critically wounded in that rocket attack near Kiryat Shmona.

Update 12:52 PM

YNet is reporting ten people killed and four critically wounded.

Update 2:06 PM

JPost is now reporting that the deaths and injuries occurred when a Katyusha landed in "a gathering spot in Kfar Giladi in the upper Galilee." Sounds like a whole lot of people went out for a picnic today, which in these circumstances in that area was not a smart thing to do. Most of the victims are apparently 'young.'

Update 2:15 PM

HaAretz reports that ten people were killed, and nine were injured, four of them seriously, and has an eyewitness account:
A resident of Kfar Giladi who is on the community's security board said that the victims did not adhere to warnings sounded ahead of the attack.

"This shouldn't have happened," he said. "We sounded the alert several minutes before the rocket hits."

"It was a direct hit on a crowd of people," Northern District Police Chief Maj. Gen. Dan Ronen told Army Radio.

A nearby forest burst into flames from the barrage and huge plumes of gray smoke rose into the air.

Witnesses described the barrage of rockets as "enormous" and that it lasted more than fifteen minutes.

An eye witness told Haaretz "I was sitting with my friends in a parking lot and got up to get a cigarette."

"I heard a big boom and came back running to see the bodies of my friends," the witness said.
YNet reports that 'Palestinians' in Shchem (Nablus) are celebrating:
The deadly noontime barrage included no less than 30 rockets that were fired at the Kiryat Shmona area.

Celebratory processions were held in Nablus following the lethal attack.

Cars with photographs of Hassan Nasrallah drove past with Hizbullah flags.
Perhaps the celebration is reminiscent of this one.

The murdering bastards.

Well they like murdering disabled children as well:

The Hizbollah story of Qana is unraveling further.

A French language Lebanese publication, citing an unnamed source in Hezbollah, has claimed that the organization placed a rocket launcher on the roof of the notorious building in Qana to provoke an Israeli attack and brought invalid children inside to serve as victims and blacken Israel's name.

The wheels are coming off.
