Lebanese civilians told to evacuate North of the Litani River

The Washington Post is now confirming what I saw this morning on DEBKAfile (and which is no longer there) , that Israel has given residents of Southern Lebanon 24 hours to evacuate North of the Litani River, some 25 miles from Israel's border.

The Post gives no indication why Israel has done this - it goes on to summarize events in the war. However, we have had hints all day here that a ground invasion is coming, and I believe that the reason the IDF wants the civilians out of the Southern Lebanon is so that the the IAF can 'soften it up' from the air before the ground troops go in.

debkafile also had an article about Hizbollah using Christian cities as human shield from which to fire rockets. The only way to fire on the Hizbollah is to remove the villagers, unfortunately. See analysis at www.jewsavecfrontieres.blogspot.com
