Kassams in the Negev again

Meanwhile, all is not quiet on the Gaza front or in the Negev. Overnight and this morning, around twenty Kassams were shot.

Eight Qassam rockets landed in Ashkelon and Sderot within two hours on Sunday evening, and another two fell in other areas in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council (a regional council is like a county in the US or a shire in the UK. At least that's what I think they're called in the UK). One of the rockets shot at Ashkelon 'just missed' hitting a strategic target by 'a miracle.' Two other rockets landed in open fields in Karmiya and Mavki'im. Later Sderot was hit by three Qassams, one landing in a babies' clinic, causing anxiety but no physical injuries. Another rocket dud landed in a park and third by officials' estimates landed in the Gaza Strip, near the border.

On Monday morning, two more rockets landed in the area – one in the yard of a Sderot house and the other in Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
