Atlas Shrugs blogged in on Friday with a story about Caterpillar Inc.'s annual meeting. As many of you know, Caterpillar makes bulldozers and one of their customers is the Israel Defense Forces.

Caterpillar has been under attack by anti-Israel forces for the last three years, since an American human shield was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer in Gaza. For those who have forgotten, one of Ms. Corrie's other activities in Gaza was teaching 'Palestinian' children the proper way to burn an American flag:


So far, I haven't told you anything you didn't know already. But here's where it gets curious. Atlas (Pamela) reports that "Jewish groups and others have characterized the destruction as attacks on known terrorist hideouts and a legitimate means of self-defense. Arab nations rejected a boycott of Caterpillar, Chairman James Owens said, because the company's products are used throughout the Middle East to abet construction and human progress."

So who is behind the attempts to force Caterpillar to stop selling to the IDF? According to Charles Johnson at LGF, the moonbats who are running the campaign against Caterpillar have a web site, and it's run by this organization. I started snooping around the organization's web page thinking (especially after seeing all the 510 - East Bay) phone numbers that it was probably run by Mikey Lerner or someone similar. My shock came when I looked at this organization's elected board and discovered that one of them is an old Yeshiva buddy of mine (from a Zionist Yeshiva no less!). (The Advisory Board includes such known self-hating Jews as Ed Asner and Tony Kushner). What will my Rebbe say?
