Academic boycott over

As I predicted, the British academic boycott of Israeli academia has come to a quick end.

The Jerusalem Post reports that international pressure from academic organizations and the threat of legal proceedings by union members who claimed that the boycott would hurt their ability to do research brought about the cancellation.

Update 5:15 PM

The Jerusalem Post is reporting that the merger between the two teachers' unions (discussed in my post linked above) was also a factor in the boycott's end.
