It's not every day that one of my Twitter followers tags me and six other people with 'my latest blog post' and I get a notice from Twitter that nearly 100 people have retweeted a tweet in which my name is mentioned. It was enough to at least look at what the post is about. It's about a group that's attempting to
subvert weak Israeli Jews. And I know I have at least one reader who devotes his life to stopping them.
When Am Yisrael came out of
Egypt, it was the weak that Amalek targeted and killed physically.
Although the goal of some of Am Yisrael’s enemies, disguised as friends,
is not to attack, their method has remained the same. Today, when Am
Yisrael is in his Home in Eretz Yisrael, it is again the weak that they
target, this time in an effort to induce a spiritual demise upon us.
I am referring to missionaries,
the Eleventh Plague, who spend millions of dollars and every precious
minute of their time trying to convert Jews, disguising their efforts as
love for the People of G-d, in order to save us. As in the past, these
new Amalekites target the weak, the stragglers, the ill-prepared, the
faint and the weary.
Unlike the ancient Amalekites
who were militarily sneaky, albeit very outright and direct about their
agenda, today’s robbers of Jewish souls and the Jewish spirit of the
recipients of the Torah use every devious method to achieve their goal.
They very carefully choose their victims. They target the needy, the
poor, kids from broken families, lone IDF soldiers with no support
network in the country or new olim who are looking for friends. In the
words of S. Jonah Pressman, a long time follower of missionaries who is
well familiar with their Modus Operandi “Wherever you find a ‘needy’
individual, you will find a missionary vulture ready to swoop down and
pick at the flesh until the soul becomes his.”
Once they have identified their
prey, the missionaries then set themselves to luring their victims. They
do it by offering them money, food, inviting them for “Shabbat
Dinners”, handing out candy bars and showering them with attention and
promises for a better life. That is how Shay Gorohovsky fell into their
trap.

I've been fighting missionaries for a while. Many city is head quarters to one of the biggest groups in the country. They are sneaky and devious. They have infiltrated the jcc, and many shuls. There is even a family in my kids school, but I can't get the administration to wake up to the danger. (My girls know who and what they are. They refer to the kids as, the messianics.)
ReplyDeleteCheck out Jamie Cowen. He made aliyah a few years ago to continue his work by you. He needs to be stopped. The Israeli government needs to put their foot down and stop allowing them in!
I know it missionaries of all Christian denominations can be seen as the new Crusaders and I can understand a desire to fight against them. Having said that, I have met many Jews who worship Jesus and who will also wish to spread the gospel.
ReplyDeleteIsrael is the birth place of Christianity and, as in the early days of the church, there will always be those who share the gospel there.
The people coming into Judaism would be a good resource, but the Israeli govt rabbis slime us and others call us a "spiritual holocaust." The strength of raising Jewish kids strong in their Judaism, while submerged in non-Jewish populations comes from the parents. Learning the things the missionaries will say and having ongoing discussions with the kids (and later, the adults) about them and the counter reasoning... it works. Hostility and fear don't. Chabad out in the corners of the diaspora, are doing an amazing job pulling together some number of Jews walking away from the Leftist streams (even though Chabad also has a streak of Leftism subverting the effort)... Israel could be leading and joiners could be helping with the education and messaging about the missionaries. Think about it...
ReplyDeleteAbout 2 month ago Jehovas Witnesses knocked on my door in Yavne. I was friendly but scared the shit out them. They didn't know at which door they knocked on, so I can't blame them for walking right into me.
ReplyDeleteIt's very odd though, missionaries in Yavne? Get the hell outta here. Christians of all sects are welcome as tourists. But missionary activity is a line not to be crossed.
Some of these comments are a bit extreme. Whats wrong with letting people decide what they want to believe? I agree that you should try and retain weaker minded Jews, but are you really willing to threaten people just for this? If someone leaves after a series of strong admonishments then they were meant to go. No sense acting like apes. That's a standard I hold for Muslims and Christians as well, and I'm not a member of those religions either.
